IllustrationFriday entry: Memories

(Medium: Illustrator/Photoshop)

My entry for this week. After trying Prismacolor for a few
weeks, I am giving a try with digital medium. When I hear
the word memories, it makes me think of elderly people
and the souvenir they had of their younger age. In this one,
an old man re-visit the tree of his childhood and the tire
swing that brought hours of pleasure. Happy Memories!

IllustrationFriday: Detach

(Medium: Prismacolor pencils)

My first thought on the theme Detach is when we are
born and become "detached" from our mother. The doctor
cuts the umbilical cord and that's the first "detachment"
we experience in our life.

IllustrationFriday theme: Sail

(Medium: Graphite)

This is something I dug from my school's work a few years ago.
We had to do a series of pirate/sailboat illustrations.
I guess it fits the bill as far as being related to the theme.

Poof (IllustrationFriday.com entry)

(Medium: Prismacolor and Photoshop)

Very late entry for the Poof theme on
IllustrationFriday. I got inspired by all these
infomercials I have seen on TV. That product
looks mighty good. Hum... Hand me the phone
please! :-)

Here is my entry for the IllustrationFriday.com on the theme of Canned. A little spooky but that's the idea! Enjoy!

Ok, I have redone this image partially. The shading is less rough but still have roughness to it. I've done other little roughs that I will post later on. It is exciting to draw and use my WACOM tablet that much lately.

This is one of my roughs for a project we are doing in my BFA class about Beethoven. It shows Beethoven's nephew, Karl, about to leave the household. He is about to be sent away to a boarding school.

The professors told me the perspective needs to be re-visited. I will work on this layout this weekend and re-post a new rough next week.
